Hi Guys

I would very much appreciate some help as all of a sudden I'm having a
nightmare with MS Money.

Basically MS Money will crash as soon as I click on the link to update
prices from the internet. If I stay offline I can use MS Money without it
crashing. For what it's worth I have not recently bought a new investment
and so I am not downloading any prices for shares/funds that I didn't
download yesterday without difficulty. When it crashes an error report is
created and the error signature is:
AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 14.0.0.1105 ModName: myisam05.dll
ModVer: 4.0.3107.7 Offset: 00001fd2

I'm using MS Money 2005 with Windows XP. My Money file is just under 36MB. I
have used this Money file for many years and have never previously seen this
issue.

The really bad news is that my last backup is from November 2006. I've
retrieved that file (just under 30MB) and it can be used without causing MS
Money to crash including when updating prices from the internet. I haven't
checked yet but it is likely that the current file does contain investments
that are not included in the earlier file.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

David

I'm sorry to waste your time. I seem to have fixed the problem by running a
Quick Repair and Standard Repair on my Money file. Interestingly the log
claimed "No broken records in the original file." However my problem seems
fixed so I'm delighted.

Also of note is that following the repairs, MS Money opens and closes much
more quickly. In fact I think it does everything slightly quicker.

Thanks for being there

I suspect you already have reviewed your backup situation. Don't
forget that hard drives can fail, and that you will want to
periodically back up to a USB flash drive.
