I was resident in UK until this week. I am now US bound.
I have always used quicken, but was thinking of going the
Money route, and thus dowloaded the trial.

There is a bug in the conversion of QUicken files
(Quicken UK to Money US). All UK stocks get converted to
Mutual funds, despite their status in Quicken.

Worse, it is not clear how to change the "Investement
type" field in the details sectin back to stock.

any ideas?

It is best to change to the default Quicken types before conversion.
As you have found, custom types change into mutual funds.

Changing investment types in Money is not trivial. If you still can,
I would make the change in Quicken and then re-convert. It is a
deficiency.

Thanks for the tip - which field do I change in Quicken
(2002) to rectify the faulty conversion?

I don't know how to run Quicken. I only know about the information
that has been previously posted.

has some old postings on the subject.
