Have MM2005 successfully running on an XP Pro machine in the
living-room that is mainly used as a media machine. Have now set up
an old Win2K machine in my office (via wireless network) & would
prefer to run MM2005 on that.

However, when I install MM2005, on first start-up it presents me with
a window all about a two-year limit on Internet Services, then crashes
when I click on OK. On subsequent occasions it starts to play the MM
tune and then once again crashes immediately.

I know about getting updates before I can open my existing money file,
but I can't get that far. What gives?

Help appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

Does your W2k machine have SP3 or later and otherwise meet the requirements
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/homepc/money/systemrequirements.aspx?pid=002 ?

I just have a few guesses. I have not used Windows 2K. During
install, I would not have my Money files where the installer would
look for them.

You might try installing in safe mode. I don't know if that works or
not. Alternatively, I would install as administrator. Also consider
installing into a different folder.
