Hi Money gurus
I have been using Money 2005 for 3 years and kinda set in my ways on how I
use it, until now that is!
I have multiple accounts that gets loaded everytime I boot money up,
including multiple kids account. Now the kids
are getting older, I don't want there account sums added to my account
totals. So basically what I am asking
is there a way to hide their accounts so that I only see my accounts, but
still able to transfer money to them
when need be, so I dont actually want to delete them from the register, and
may want to view them from time
to time?!!

Suggest that you consider multiple .mny files. Downside is that transfers
will need a 2 step process. Open your file, create transfer to kid#1. Open
kid#1 file and record transfer in.

You might see if Closing the accounts and then reopening them later
helps. |

Greetings Bejay,
I use a much older version of Money than you. Money 2000 allows me to create
Reports. By skilful use of 'Payee' names, 'Categories', and 'Accounts' I can
create Reports to show me all sorts of things, like my wife's gross pension
income and (separately) the income tax she paid on it. I can also export
Reports to Excel and mess with them outside Money.
Make some backups and then experiment. The REAL value in Money is the
Reports it can produce, but I have never come across any book that really
helps you extract maximum value out of this application.
You may need to create new sub-categories and consistently change (the
existing category of) particular transactions to any one of your new
categories / sub-categories to best differentiate your children's affairs.
Good luck

I'd go with closing them until you need them as well.
