Hello
I regularly download Barclays OFX files to keep my Money 99 accounts
up to date.

However, I have noticed that there is a mismatch between the dates of
automatically-entered Money transactions and those of the downloaded
statement.

For example, a direct debit bill to Scottish Provident of £35.87 shows
up on my Barclays paper statement as going out on 30 June. (I am
presuming that the paper statement matches the online statement). But
in the Money account it shows up on 1st July. (I have all my direct
debits automatically entered on the account register).

Why does Money not override the transaction date which I have set up
in Bills & Deposits with the correct online date?

Thanks for any help offered.

In Money 2003 I have the following option:

Tools > Options > Online Services

and mark the checkbox for "Overwrite transaction dates..."

Not sure if the same applies to 99.

Thanks for the help - Money 99 doesn't have that option!

OK. This is going to sound weird. But try changing your timezone to
GMT before downloading and processing the download. See if your
dates for new downloads enter correctly. If you report that this
fixes the problem, I can explain why it happens and what the cure
would be. You can restore your timezone after the download and
processing.

If you are in doubt as to whether to try this, you could make an
extra copy of your file to experiment with. Also, an extra backup
file with a new name never hurts.
