Hi

I'll have a couple of questions over the next few days if that's OK as
I put more energy into using MS Money properly. So far, I've just used
it for transaction tracking and not for budgeting or financial
planning.

I'm creating a budget and have a Budget Category called Home. One of
the expenses I want to budget for is, say, Electricity.

Ideally, I would just like to have Budget Category and Category; that
is, Home -> Electricity.

However, in the budget and in transactions, Money seems to insist on
three levels:

Budget Category -> Category -> Sub-category
ie. Home -> Home -> Electricity

In other words, Home is repeated. Is this necessary? Or are the 2
instances of home both in fact Categories ie. are Category and Budget
Category in fact the same thing? (I do know that the MS Money
Category Group is a different thing altogether, but I am not referring
to that here).

Thanks for any advice.

Best wishes

Max
