Hi all... I am - like most of you I gather - bemused that Microsoft neglect
to release the latest versions in the UK.
However, my question is about updates for my 2005 version, which I'm having
problems with.
I have installed my Money 2005 onto my laptop, which is running Vista Home
Premium, with the intension of transferring all my accounts over to it.
However, whenever I open Money, it givs me a message box saying that updates
are available, but must be installed by a member of the Administrators
group... of which my user account IS a member! It then suggests I log out
and back on as an administrator to install the available updates.
I can only think that this might be due to an incompatibility with Vista,
but can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Right click on the shortcut you use to launch Money and select Run as
administrator. This will let the updates be installed.
It needs to be done once only, unless some later updates to Money are
released.

Many thanks Dominic... that's done it! So simple when you know how, eh?
Thanks again.
Paul.

After install, right-click the Money icon and choose
RunAsAdministrator to let potential updates happen. Reboot the
computer. You should not have to run as Administrator normally.
